I have a failure on one of my engines and was wondering if anyone at traced out and produced a schematic of the motherboard.  If I can't figure out the issue with this it might be the first of my EOB equipped engines to get converted to Electric RR cruise commander.  One I'll miss the selectable chuff rate, how it controls the smoke unit, and I really don't want to spend the money right now.

Ah, stockpile of them

I'll let you know once I dig a little deeper into the issue.  It's no longer puffing the smoke like it did in this video.  The fan is still blowing but no longer synced to the chuffing.

John,

On another note do you have spare EOB motherboard firmware chips?  I'm looking for the very first rev firmware that allows for this very control of the smoke unit for another engine I have.

After MTH clamped down on TAS and others, You could request the older version firmware from TAS but you are right Atlas and the others couldn't use those features anymore.

That would be great John,  I could send you the chip I have and you could program a few for me, at a small fee I'm sure.

That was a big "if".  I checked, and my little development board won't directly program the chip in the EOB board.  Also, since I couldn't check it, I don't know if they code locked the chip.  If so, you can't read the code to program the chips.

Of course, getting those features to work on the EOB board would reduce the size of the potential market for my upcoming Super-Chuffer.
