A tree surgeon estimated our tree to be about 500 years old.

Joshua Trees (like Bald Eagles, California Condors, Desert Tortoises, and Ravens), are all protected by the State, and if a Joshua Tree ever has to be moved (which is not advised), it must be transplanted with the same orientation to the Sun as before.
