I would like some help with the lubricating of this locomotive. Is there any way this can be done without pulling the locomotive apart to access the individual gearboxes? Appreciate any suggestions.

No. Based on photos I found you will have to get the wheel/axle pairs out of the trucks. Also, as it appears to be a tank drive you will need to at least remove the body to open up the transfer case to get to those gears. You might have to remove it as well. This is not hard as all you need is the proper screwdriver. Take your time and use good lighting so you can see them all. Take photos as you go.
