Anybody know a good way to remove Walthers Goo from a painted surface? I bought a used Atlas diesel for cheap. Part of the reason it was cheap is that the railing on the front platform came loose, and some imbecile tried to secure the metal stanchions into the slots in the chassis with what appears to be Walthers Goo. In the process he smeared it all over the place. I'm pretty sure that's what it is, it has the brownish color and general appearance of dried Goo. Anyway, I'd like to get the stuff off and do a decent job of reattaching the railing, but the solvents I can think of that will take off Goo are also likely to attack the paint. Suggestions, anyone? Actual experience preferred.
