Hot tub car? Is this an upcoming story line? Things that go when the kids are in bed. Buy the Way Your lay out is great.

Here 'tis...  Shedd Aquarium's car.

Just a reminder that Conrail did own revenue passenger equipment, even if it wasn't lettered for Conrail;  a quick example is the [ ex-EL ] Cleveland-Youngstown train which lasted until 1/77.  I think there may be other examples in the 1976-1981 era as 'stuff' was conveyed to Metro-North and the other eastern agencies.

Lee,

I think that all of those cars did exist.  About 10 to 20 years ago there was a privately funded Reno Fun Train that ran between the SF Bay Area and Reno, NV.  The passenger cars were heavily modified to provide all kinds of "fun" I am told.

The private train no longer exists but the Fun Train is still in operation.  It appears to be a joint venture between Amtrak and private tour companies.  You have to be at least 21 to ride the train.

You can definitely get a hot tub in Reno.

I have a MTH Seaboard Air Line dome car that my wife bought me, not knowing SAL never owned them.

I'm planning to take it apart and use parts from it where I can, trucks, ends, seating, diaphragms, lighting circuit can be put to use on other projects.  Some of you might think taking a car apart for this is extreme, but buying individual parts like this will most likely exceed the cost of the whole car.  As it is, I rarely put it on the layout anyway, so I'll use the parts I need and store the shell in the original box.
