Running just the conductor car on the variable channel, no upgrade, just conventional, if I want the whistle, I hear the announcement "all aboard, this...". If I add the trainsounds tender, I suspct, I will have the same types of issues. Are there any workarounds?

Gary YEP! swapping the wires gave me conductor sounds on bell button- sadly, I responded to it, thinking I was responding here .
So I will amend my question. How's the trainsounds tender working for folks that use it. I understand the sound will be a tad weak (speaker upgade maybe)?

Sorry, can't offer any help with the TrainSounds tender, as we only have the starter set with all the add-on cars.
