WOW! very beautiful, that's what keeps me happy as a railfan and o scale buyer. Thank you for the posting, hope I can find one. Regards to all, I'm sure many others who love trains will also find it a gorgeous rendering of "old rivets".

Sal, I'm sure you can still find one.  They're out there, and they're quite nice, albeit premium-priced.  Here are some quick close-ups of Lionel's Bicentennial sample from York.  Very nice rivet detail.  That along with the sparking catenary and impressive sounds (the only sound-set thus far that does any justice to the plane-Jane "diesel horn") set the rivet models apart from the JLC models of almost 10 years ago.  You'll pay for it big-time, but it's there for the takers.  The welded models of course still have the sparking catenary and upgraded sounds, but it's tougher to not just opt for the former JLC models which run approximately half the price of the VisionLine units.  If I were buying a new VisionLine GG1, the rivet models would tug hard at the wallet... the welded models less so.
