Hello!

I got a model train for the holidays, I was starting to really enjoy working on it and using it. Until.. the power supply I had broke. I was researching online and found that the bridge rectifier might have gone bad. I did some research to learn how they work and found this Bridge Rectifier Explanation - I am still a bit confused .. do bridge rectifiers come in pre-assembled modules or do they come in a kit of diodes that I have to put together myself? Please let me know , any and all information would be so helpful!!!

Best,

Both. A rectifier in a case with 4 internal diodes is convenient. and there is a slight cost. Individual diodes arranged in a bridge configuration work the same, and are very inexpensive.

What specific train outfit are you speaking of?
