Up on "The D & H Bridge Line"

I had brought that one up in the past  Would love to see it in Demo colors or SP&S  I saw one at the Pennsylvania RR Museum last time I was there

I'm hearing rumors about a Legacy SP AC-12 Cab Forward and Legacy Scale S2 turbine as well as a couple of newly tooled steam locomotives never produced by Lionel. I was also told that my wish for a MOPAC Legacy PA's and matching scale(ex-K Line)18" aluminum passenger cars may come true?

I was having this very discussion with a fellow O-gauger just a few days ago.  I asked him what he thought he might buy once the next Lionel catalog came out. "A bunch of MPC stuff off eBay", he said.

My hope for the catalog remains the same as ever... a broad variety of conventional offerings at $150-$300.

My wallet needs a break!   My last year purchases have now triggered a layout redesign on the "Crappy Basement & Carpet Central" to give me more running room and capacity so my money will have to go there.  If I were to guess...

Addon Station sounds and Diner Cars for:

The Blue Comet

The Alton

The Crescent

Lately, the catalogs have really been chucked full of things to test my will power.  I can't wait to see what Lionel does next.  Same for MTH and Atlas.

A few more items that I been wishing Lionel would do...
- a nice scale bunk car
- a scale MOW set 4-5 cars

A few years ago Lionel made some nice MOW cars for Santa Fe to go with the TMCC crane and boom.  They had a water tank car, tool car, idler car with plow and a flatcar with ballast load.  This is a nice set that they could do in other road names.  I'd like to see a similar set lettered for C&O, Pere Marquette or Lionel Lines.

More Lionmaster Locomotives.

Lionmaster Hudson with Legacy - it's been almost 10 years since the last Lionmaster Hudson locomotives.

Lionmaster SD70ACe - updated tooling from the SD90MAC and the SD80. Plenty of flags with BNSF, CN, CSX, KCS, NS, and UP, plus the demonstrator, the 10 NS Heritage engines, and the 6 UP Heritage engines and the George Bush. 24 real-life paint schemes on engines in current use before Lionel even has to think about doing fantasy schemes.

I'd like to see one fantasy scheme, a North Pole Central SD70ACe.

1: EJ&E anything! Please release the legacy sharks in EJ&E paint!

2. Heavy Mikado!! Whistle steam and swinging bell please. Aim high... Hmmm, ok heavy mikado with whistle steam, swinging bell, cylinder steam effects, ash pan glow, oh Baby!! (One can dream)

3. How about more vision or legacy rolling stock? More cars with sounds like the vision tankers!

I would love this one too as long as it has the swinging bell and all the steam effects

The real Allegheny didn't have a swinging bell if I remember right. It was stationary with a mechanical ringer.

My wishes? More scale Penn Central is the usual request, and every manufacturer has been obliging so far. I've also always wanted to see B&O's "Old Maud" as a Vision Line item. The very first articulated American engine:

Although I picked up the JLC Allegheny on the cheap during a Lionel blow out sale, I'd be surprised if they ran it again anytime soon.

I'd have say it is probably the most detailed engine Lionel has ever done..

Downright beautiful with RS 5-0 and 4 chuff sound.  And, the same puffing smoke unit as the early Legacy steamers prior to the Hudson..

The JLC Allegheny was the last JLC prior to Vision line.

It hasen't been that long.

I'd like to see a fully detailed Vision Line PRR B-6 switcher with whistle smoke & swinging bell.

Now that would get my attention..

Joe

I think the JLC GG1, and Big Boy was done after the Allegheny. It was announced in summer of 2005.

Anything that has not already been done "a hundred times" over and over. There are some really fine suggestions in this thread .Some are more plausible than others. Still they are all interesting in of themselves. In danger of being repetitious, I just wish someone would ask the customer what they would like to see, not that this will ever happen. Call this a mild gripe as I can't get enough passion  going about the tenth version of a Pacific or whatever to go ranting over silly wish book grievances that remain unfilled. I have more than enough to play with. Lets see something new...is my wish.

I agree Bill, I don't believe the Allegheny was the last of the JLC series.
