QSI power programmer | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Is anyone familiar with a QSI power programmer ? It is a black plastic box about 4" x 3".It has a digital readout in the center,horn ,bell and program buttons and a four screw terminals above the digital readout marked throttle,Hi-v,com, and track. QSI website shows no information on this device.I am not sure if they are still in business.I have no manual with this device.I picked this unit up with a KW transformer I purchased and I am curious about its use.

GGG here is pretty well versed with QSI, I suspect he knows the in's and out's of this unit.

It's used in conjunction with the postwar AC transformers and any transformer that only had a whistle button. The box programs the qsi/ ps1 engines a bit quicker than constantly hitting the older transformer whistle button.
