Take out the battery and see if it'll will start up with sound. ( no battery no BCR) It should still start up with sound & have it's ID original  number.  This will interesting, Does a dead battery short out the circuit board temporally ??

I don't understand why you haven't tried this already... It either going to start up or not... You may have to turn off the dcs signal and try it in conventional if the engine is no longer in the remote...However it might add back

WILLYGEE suggested a temporary battery, Did you try it?

Gregg,

I do not have the type battery to use in this Engine, I am waiting on the BCR2 to be delivered now.   I will try the batteries operation this evening when I have time.

Thanks

Dave,

For testing purposes, you can temporary use a regular 9v alkaline battery to determine if the battery is at fault.

EDIT:

My apologizes, I had PS2 5 volt board in my head. A 9v won't work in Dave's situation. You could use a cordless phone battery as long as it is the two battery type that will match the required 2.4 volt output.

Gregg,

I tested it without a battery, here is what happened.   I started it up using the DCS HHRC pushing the start button.  The Engine came on started making the ERR sound and the head light started flashing, she continued to stay on and make the ERR sound, and the head light kept flashing.   I shut her down with the shut down button on the HHRC.

What is going on with my P2 engine?

Thanks for the up- date.   I was hoping it would start up  normally.  Mine do with no battery or BCR which  makes me believe something's  amiss with  your engine other than a dead battery.

Hopefully once you get the proper BCR or battery a engine reset  will restore the engine.... Hopefully.

Anyway keep us posted. thx.
