Question of smoke unit batting

Yea when I got mine it was like that. I just broke mine apart.

I used that part number and received the squares - that must be what it is now. I busted the squares up and used them.

My quess is they were out and sent the square batting as an alternate. Or some one picked it out of the wrong bin. The number Boxcall Bill gave you is for the long batting Mike shows in the video. The square batting is part # 691SMKPKG5 SMOKE UNIT BATTING / PRE-CUT (ALT: 691SMKP008)

Must be a sub, that's the number I used.

I did the same mod only I used a tiki torch wick. There were a few threads where this was done with very positive results.

On the wick I had once the outer shield was removed there were several "ropes" that looked just like the material Mike had in the video. Just unravel them a bit, wad them up like Mike did and stuff them in there. Just make sure the passage to the fan is not blocked!

Same thing happened to me on a shipment that arrived Saturday. They must be out of the rope type wick. Kind of annoying since Mike R. just posted a video specifically recommending the rope.

I recently ordered wick from Brasseur and he had the rope type in stock. Chuck Sartor may be another good one to try. I've also used Tiki Torch wick with good success.

We have the rope in stock, 8" @ $1.75 plus shipping. I prefer using the pre-cut.
