Does anyone know if the locomotive from the Armored Set was packaged with regular freight cars over it's lifetime?  My father always remembered his Grandfather running one with freight cars, but never saw the artillery cars anywhere with it when it was running.

My thinking was that my Great Grandfather just purchased some separate freight cars to run with it, and kept the artillery cars away, but I wanted to get the best answer on this.

I looked up he armoured train in my set book. It was made between 1917 and 1920. It lists Battleship grey as a color and a greenish grey called khaki. The set numbers are 214 and 215.

The 214 set which LCT made comes with 2 900 ammunition cars. The cars are 801 series boxcars.

The 215 set comes with 2 702 supply cars. These cars are actually 602 mail cars.

The 203 engine itself was the artillery. I do not think there was a car with a gun on it. The gondola with shells is not listed in my book. That may be a Marx or T-repo item.
