RC Polar Express on DCS track oddity, but not a problem.

I have the Polar Express RC Set sitting on a DCS siding. If I power the track, then run the PE it works fine. If I let it sit, on the powereed track for a while, it won't start. The headlight is on, but I need to cycle track power to get it to respond.

Thoughts? I'm not going to make this a Lionel problem. For next years layout, I am going to isolate that section, so I can cycle power without stopping everything else.
