I believe the yellowing on this Marx loco is from tobacco smoke because the silver trucks as well as the formerly white printing are affected. Dish detergent didn't touch it and Soft Scrub fixed the "cat whiskers" nicely, but was too aggressive for the lettering. Any tips on what I could use on the grills? I'm no chemist, so don't know what might be a solvent for all the different compounds in the smoke. Any ideas thoroughly appreciated.
