Well we are all ready for our new floor. 2400 sq ft of Imported Porcelain Tile. To save money we stripped the 3 layers of rugs, tile and linoleum. We are still open during this and hope to keep the closing down to a few days. We are adding a second set of islands and this will allow apox. 30% more product. Our staff has moved the displays either downstairs or into our two story warehouse on the back. Combine this with the upgrades to our building outside we will be done with 2/3rds of our changes. Next up after the floor is a complete interface of our website and store and warehouse inventory with a POS system. Hope to have completed pictures up next. Thanks and we are open during these upgrades!

Oh my!  This makes me tired just looking at all the work involved.

I was once in your store, oh, maybe ten years ago.  I bought a PFE reefer if I remember correctly.  Not likely to return, unfortunately - can't see anything taking me to Long Island again in the future.  But good luck.  Imported porcelain tile - wow!

Charlie,

Please note that my friend Ted DeLuca works at or at least used to work at TrainWorld. He may want to come to the store as a spy for the competition. As the chief legal counsel for Nassau Hobby, I will get an injunction against Ted sop he can't come to the party.

Hi, Ted. Hope you are doing well. We haven't spoken in a long time.

Onward and upward Charlie. It just goes to show folks that when someone works hard at their business, with good friendly service and fair prices our local hobby shopes can thrive.

I think I just may make a point to Drive up to check the place out when your done.

Good luck and have fun.

A friend (Big Dave) and I picked up a couple of items from Nassau's booth at York this spring - Great people to deal with.

Best of luck to you with the re-opening!

I owned/operated a retail shop (Uncle Sam's Hobby Shop) near New Orleans about 26 years ago. Tough business back then too.
