replacement gear for 8030-100 truck

You have the part numbers correct.  It's an interference fit(pressed on) to the knurled worm axle.

The problem with that truck is the truck sides are staked to the top and the top is staked to the side frame.  You have to remove the top frame from the side frame to access the cross shaft. I've done it, but the aluminum distorts easily. ttender.com should have the gears.  I do have a few NOS ones.

I've been able to press on the nylon gears w/o disassembly. Some of them do slip if they don't crack/split, so a little Locktite would help with this.

Thanks, Rob. I was able to press the gear on using tweezers to hold the gear and a large angled needle nose pliers to press the gear onto the shaft. I used red loctite.
