Replacement speaker for Lionchief plus Jersey Central Pacific

I don't think a speaker would change the difference in volume of chuff versus other sounds. I am interpreting this as the problem from your description.

Have you tried to adjust the overall volume (document attached) ? Confirm that the sound switch is in the On position. Check the drawbar connection.

Have you attempted adjusting the sounds in the App?

Are you sure about the speaker size?  I'll be pretty surprised if it's a 2 1/4" speaker.

It's always useful to include the actual Lionel product number in threads like this, it answers lots of questions.

I guessed it's the 1923070 Blue Comet LionChief Set w/ Bluetooth, and they do say it's 2.25" square, interesting...  That's a decent looking speaker for LC.  That being said, a more efficient speaker would probably be louder.

That's your speaker, I posted it for reference.  If you look around for a similar size speaker at 8 ohms, you might get lucky and find one that has good volume.  Sadly, there is no other way with the cheap speakers as they don't have decent specs.  If you want to spend more money, you can find sites that have real data sheets about the speakers.
