Replacement speaker source? MTH BF-0000033

Do a search on ebay for 'MTH speakers' a guy has some and I ordered some and work just fine.

I had the same issue. But the ones on eBay are not 5W 16ohm

Thanks! I did see those, but they’re labeled 0.2W, which seemed pretty low. I will search more generally for “MTH speakers”.

You didn't read, did you.

I’ve found some possibilities on Mouser. Ordered three different ones with power ratings from 2-10W. Will let everyone know how they work out.

Chuck, I did read, but in searching elsewhere here, it seems like there are a variety of speakers used in MTH locomotives, and I thought it safest to stick as close to the specs as possible. 0.2W compared to 5W is a pretty big jump where device specs are concerned. Appreciate the input, though.

I'm pretty sure some of those .2W 16 ohm speakers found their way into the 5V PS/2 engines.  I know I've used them without issue in 5V PS/2 stuff.

Ah, that makes sense, though minimum wattage seems an odd way to stamp a speaker. I didn’t read the full description because of that.

Wow. pretty much a low mid thang? That can't be right. I'd bet it goes well above 360.

That 360 Hz is probably a typo (missing a zero).   3600Hz is more likely.
