I am restoring a Marx train set box.  There was tape all on the sides which I have peeled and sanded off.  All the printing can now be seem.  When I wipe it with a damp cloth it looks great. When it dries, it is "foggy"  .  Is there anything I can wipe the box with, to bring out the printing and color?  Without ruining the box.  Thanks ahead for any info.

There is a website called Randystoyshop. They do box restorations. Might be worth a call. It is a restoration business. But, one never knows. They might answer your question. Or if the box is that important. You could have it restored. See finished boxes. The batman box restored - Amazing. They say simple reassembly starts out at 45.00.
