K-Line #K615-1895 PRR N5C caboose

 

This model is a very nicely detailed PRR N5C caboose that has sprung trucks, add on railings, see-through roofwalk and lighted interior. The road number is 478014. It is designated as Eastern Region.  The lettering includes "Buy War Bonds". Built date 4-42.

 

 

Notes: The lettering appears to be authentic. See reference to the prototype car: Keystone Vol 21, #2 PRR 478014 "Buy War Bonds"

Exactly, TOTALLY wrong!  A shame since these were so nice other wise. Definitely would NOT have one as a PRR fan.

Both MTH and Lionel make them correctly.

Yes! There was always something about these that bugged me, something off about that cupola, windows are too big as well I believe.
