A friend sent me an e-mail which included pictures of vintage road vehicles. I found this one particularly fascinating since it bears such a strong resemblance to several of the early diesel streamliners and wanted to share it with my fellow forum posters. It certainly is a very stylish thing. Is anyone aware of a model of this vehicle ever having been offered?

This was known as the GM Futurliner they were produced for the 1939 New York World's fair. Later GM did a tour with the trucks called the Parade of Progress you can see the details here and by searching the internet with the above key words.

These are close but not the same. The image Bob posted is based on the UP streamliner.

I was thinking Futurliner too until I saw the picture of the Futurliner. Definitely not a Futurliner. I like the look even better than the GM products.

My wife wants a new minivan. I wish we could get one that looks like the Duro Metals vehicle! That art deco/airflow look is super cool. Unfortunately my wife doesn't agree.
