Thanks for sharing. Would buy today at that price but appear to be behind the curve again with an i5 processor and no VR. Can't seem to keep up with the times.

You don't need VR it's optional. In fact without VR the requirements are lower. You should be fine with an i5.
At least on Steam you can get a refund if you have 1 hour or less of play time so you can actually test it.
