RR-Track Version 5.01

I just tried to re-create the FasTrack Layout of the month from the September 2013 Classic Toy Trains on page 40-41. I can match the exact track they used but cannot create it to where it aligns withing 5 tracks of various ranges of .31 to .91 of an inch. Since I upgraded from an older version, is there some setting I have incorrect?

I can post the RR-Track File tonight when I get home but was hoping that someone already ran into this and can give some assistance. I am trying to design my layout with some of the aspects that are in this article.

I fiddled with it a bit also using their specified track sizes, nothing fit correctly, gave up. I'm no expert with RR-Track though.

You might try the free trial version of Anyrail. Maybe that will fit it together better. Seems I tried that with FasTrack some time ago and was thinking it did better than RR-Track, if my memory hasn't yet failed completely that is.

Yes, I can almost get it but 5 pieces do not line up within even the widest margins.

Can you adjust the distance tolerance to .079 ?

Moonman,

For some reason can not find the tolerance adj. will keep looking, but what has helped a little was updating the fastrack library but it is still off and the gaps are large enough to keep from running the animated train.

If you have used any 072,060 switches or a 22.5° crossover, you need to use the 1.375 (1200x) fitter that is included with those.

Here is what I came up with, I had to do some substitutions and change out some pieces and use the relax feature to get everything to line up. Hope this helps you out...
