Skip to 7:34 for video of the drop.

Perhaps not surprisingly, one of the largest lumber distributors in the US has a store colocated on their headquarters campus. The lumberyard is separated from the offices by the former B&O mainline to Wheeling, WV, today the W&P subdivision of the Allegheny Valley Railroad. Somewhat recently, the spur into the lumber yard was cleaned up, and began receiving sporadic center beam flatcars of product dropped off by the weekday local, AVR-3. On this particular July day, I had randomly decided to chase the train, and was pleasantly surprised to see the lumber car in an otherwise unremarkable consist. For me, the spot is interesting because it's one of the few spots on the P&W where the normally westbound train runs into the sun, allowing for near-perfect lighting (as opposed to the backlit shots from earlier in the video).
