I just noticed that after I press the shut down button on my legacy remote and the engine responds with the shut down sequence of lights and sounds that if I turn the throttle the engine will move.  I never noticed this before.  Has this always been the case and I just never discovered it?  If this is "normal", then the engine is really not shut down until power is killed.

I am curious what others have experienced.

thanks fellas....I am in the midst of laying track for my first layout.  I was under the table programming a DZ2500 switch motor and when I came up for air, my test mule engine (which I had shut down) was not where I had left it.  Luckily it did not make it to the future location of the bridge!

Marty, I really appreciate your contributions to this forum.  The information you have shared has helped me tremendously as I have acclimated to this hobby.
