Smoke unit for ERR Cruise Commander

Cruise commander boards use a R2LC radio board that can control an AC smoke unit. All 3-rail smoke units use AC, they have their own rectifier board for the fan motor. The TAS units will work fine with a CC board.

Most any Lionel or MTH smoke unit should work with the ERR board.  I've put it in MTH and Lionel steamers and it's worked for all of them.  I've never converted an MTH PS-2 loco, but a number of the PS-1 and Lionel locos.

A simple addition of a small relay will allow you to use the TAS board, the relay is driven by the R2LC and the smoke unit is powered from track voltage.
