Smoke unit resistors

Guys, My resistor glows a very bright red. I have made sure it is sitting in the wick and their is fluid in the bowl.Also my remote won't turn off power to it only manual switch underneath does. This unit is in a k-line b6 switcher.

Could a bad R2LC triac be the cause of the
Over heating of the resistor and why remote won't turn it off?

Swaped with good board that was it! Fixed now !

The triac on the R2LC is probably shorted. Replacing that part will probably yield a spare board you can use.
