Still have version 4.10 on my DCS. Can I upgrade directly to version 6 or 6.1 or do I have to do something with the interim versions like 5.0?

You can go straight to 6.1. Of course, you have to do remote(s) & TIU(s)
Thanks, now the hunt for the cables needed.
Seems I can get the serial 9 pin to USB and the mini serial cable from B&H but am not sure on what I use for the power cable. I have older TIU so USB will not power.
Can I power the TIU for the upgrade by connecting transformer power to one of the inputs as though I was going to run trains?
If not is the cable I need part # 50-1037 from MTH?

Yes, that will work as long as you use Fixed #1 Input.
