I am new at this. I used 4x8 soundboard for my track table. The problem I am having is that I keep getting saw dust particles. Thinking about painting the table with Elmer glue mix 50-50 with water.  Hope my plan works. Option number 2 will to paint the table with light brown paint.

Any suggestions?

FWIW.  If it was me I would go with flat dark brown latex. The reason I prefer the dark brown is that it has helped me with scenic projects.  But it would depend on the area of the country you are modeling.  For southwest area a lighter color might work better.  I would use a roller with just enough paint to seal the surface.  If you allow a lot of paint to penetrate deeply into the sound board it might warp.  This not scripture of course.  Just things you might want to consider.
