Do you recall the asking price and condition of the set?

I would judge it as very good and the price was $1250.

The lithography on the tower was not shiny/glossy, but was also not scratched. I have never seen one before, so I do not know if they are all lithographed that way.

There was some fraying of the wires on the boom supporting the powered plane. The planes were blue with gold accents. There was some missing blue paint, but no shiny spots where the paint was missing. This indicates that all paint loss was in the distant past, rather than recent. The dummy airplane still had its celluloid propeller.

Everything looked original, but the chrome pivot that mounts the arm to the pylon was so shiny that it looked like a replacement part. It seemed to have no patina on it at all.

To my way of thinking, it was in impressive condition for its age, but again, I have never seen one before.

Clyde Easterly was the seller.

The price AND the seller are the signal that it is an original. Anything that he or Chuck Brasher would sell I would never have any doubts.
