TCA Exclusive Rolling Stock Available to the Public

Was there a secondary market for TCA special edition cars? I didn't think they were all that popular with the TCA members themselves.

Regardless, I wonder how the TCA will fare as they continue to give away what were the tangible benefits of membership.

One item that needs to be clarified is that cars available to the public are priced higher than those available for purchase by membership.  This is not giving away a tangible benefit of membership.

Not necessarily if you deduct the cost of annual TCA dues vs. purchase of the car as a nonmember.

That assumes you join TCA just for the convention cars.  Most members do not.  Membership is so much more.
