Got a nice box today filled with parts from the Lionel open house. It got me thinking about the large number of parts I've ordered and what I intend to use them for. I know a large number of you ordered parts as well. One of my main projects is to upgrade a Williams brass Challenger with some extra detail parts and I have already swapped out the generic articulated Electric RR Railsounds with a correct Challenger sound set. So I'm curious what are you guys tinkering on with all these parts?

Hi Derek,

I am trying to catch up on some of the repairs that I am doing for some of the guys around here in the Ozarks. A couple of smoke units, lights, couplers, etc.

Just having fun and enjoying this great hobby. I really enjoy your Notch 6 podcast...keep them coming.

Also, great to meet you at the Lionel Customer Service Open House this past weekend.

I'll be replacing/upgrading some speakers.

I really like Lionel's batting and it's time to replace it in many of my engines.

I will be adding a speaker to a dummy loco.

I also purchased some spare boards and SMU's. The sale really made some items I wanted to "tinker" with very affordable.
