Thanks. This is what I plan to use. The photos I have used Morton roofwalk but some of them had Apex roofwalk.

Can't wait to see the finished caboose!  I have a few Mopac Atlas wide-vision cabooses and have been thinking of doing a short bay window myself.  I may cheat and use a spare Soo wide-vision cab as a starting point.  The general dimensions can be found in the book Cabooses of the Missouri Pacific Lines.  Are there any plans available?

Your attention to detail and your workmanship are nothing short of amazing, excellent project Malcolm.

What product are you using for the roofwalk material?  I have used Precision Scale  in the past for the URR locos and the blast furnace but I have had some QC issues with it.

The roofwalk material is from Atlas. They are from the large covered hoppers.

different cabooses than any other railroad I've seen evidence of.  You could probably

fill a wall of shelves and make a career out of them.  Certainly the book pictures some

I have been working for what seems like forever on my Roundhouse/Turntable area.  I have been putting down a ton of track into the RH, next to the RH plus all the track for the TT and my main coaling tower.  It is a beautiful mess of track but it has been slow going.  I am just waiting to post an update until I have things completed in that area.

Malcolm what can I say that hasn't been said...?  Truly amazing work.  It's always a treat to open one of your threads and see such fine craftsmanship. 

Your work goes beyond modeling. These are works of art.

The screen frames appear too large and the screening material too course...some light weathering on the mesh would make it less obvious.

The wheelbase looks a bit long...or maybe the prototype is a bit short.

 The more I try to build, the more I appreciate your builds!!

 Those screen mounts look weird on that angle. Finally a self closing set?? Must keep the varmits out.

I wonder if wold be possible to simulate window screen with judicious cross hatch sanding on clear styrene.  Using the appropriate grit of course.  Perhaps filling in the sanding grooves with color.
