Tonight's program on RFD (channel 568 on U-verse) "Trains and Locomotives" is a one hour show on the restoration and testing of Canadian Pacific 2816. Air time is 4:30 A.M. With the restoration of N&W 611 of interest to many here, the RFP program may be of interest since it should show what's involved with such a project.

A better place to run a lashup than with any locomotives!!!
If you are a cable/satellite cutter, you can sign up for RFDTV's Country Club program and watch as many current or past programs of Trains and Locomotives and I Love Toy Trains as you want on your mobile device for $90 a year. My combination of IPAD and Apple TV allows me to play anything I can watch on my iPad to my big screen through wireless networking.

RFD TV is the name of the channel. You will have to consult your local listings to see if it is available on your provider.

Ah yes...the good ol' days of VHS cassettes and a five racks full of 50 VHS machines to make the copies on.
All my old Hopewell videos are available now on DVD, with much better image quality than VHS. You can check 'em out here.

I think you can only get those channels with the "ultra premium" packages in S.East Michigan. Try ATT, Direct TV, & Dish network. It would cost me at least another $75-$150 a month. Cheaper to buy things I want to watch on DVD and I can watch it whenever I like. Even watch them on a new player after a power surge burns out the household electronics power supplies. Lets see you do that with a DVR.

Yes it was a huge undertaking. I hadn't realized that the boiler work was handled By Doyle and the crew in Portland.

Yeah, it's not offered as an option on any plan through Comcast where I live. Drives me nuts as I'm always hearing about the RR stuff they have on that network.

Pappy, I looked at the channel directory ATT gave me when I started with them in August and it DOES NOT list RFD TV under any service plan; but, I get it on their U300 plan. I looked at the directory to see if it was not included on their family or U200 plans only to find out it's not listed on any plan!

Looks like RFD TV is on Verizon FiOS, at least it's in the channel lineup. I'll have to check.
Comcast controversially dropped the channel in many of its Western markets in favor of Al Jazeera America in 2013
Talk about a step backwards!
