Gray,

Search is your friend.  'Translucent' is a very unique word.  If you go to the forum Search page and type it in you'll get a number of good hits, all very close to what you're looking for, because its such a unique word and because this topic has been discussed here on the forum many times before.

Check this one out for instance, which I found from following the above advice:

Yes - or most any hardware store matte or flat clear spray. Test on a small area of your plastic first.

Now, me - I've replaced "frosted" windows with clear plastic. Go figure.

For certain models where I am detailing interiors, I prefer clear also. But there are others that there is no interior detail where I spray my overhead projector transparency with Dull Coat. It is a good to have a plan for options.

If you have no details in the interior, consider asking Alex and Alan to help, then they'll look like this.

John:

Thanks for the leads. Alan has helped me in the past by doing some Lazer cutting of custom windows for a building that I will be scratch building. I don't want to wear out my welcome. I have several sets of passenger coaches to which I want to add detailed interiors and LED lighting using your GREAT lighting kits. I will contact Alex and Alan to see what they say. I am also in contact with another forum member in the midwest that offered to send me his .stl files for passenger car interior seating.
