Recently I purchased a new Lionel Legacy 990 set. It turned out that the Cab 2 was defective and replaced by Lionel. I installed it on my pike and tried it out on my KLine TMCC PRR 0-4-0. At first my little engine sprang to life and I assigned it a number and began running it. It ran forward and backward, the whistle and bell sounded but nothing else seemed to work. The train made about 20 circuits about my layout. It got slower and slower but would no longer respond to the speed knob. It finally stopped and would no longer respond to the Cab 2. However upom disconnecting the Legacy system the engine ran OK analog. So what's wrong? I can't get any response from my other TMCC engine, but that one won't even run analog...the headlight doesn't even light up. I wish I still had the old TMCC. Any suggestions? Odd-d
