Has anyone scratch built a TBM? I was thinking it would make for a nice scene. TBM sticking out of a mountain starting the drilling with a supply train

I think that would make one nice scene or diorama. But there are alot of parts to construct on the machine let along including the trailing gear. I worked on the assembly / disassembly of a real one and there are a lot of parts.
How about a train hauling the cutterhead , main beam, and other sections. Probably nobody would know what they were looking at.
Give it a try.
Your thread made me think of something I saw at The Big E show in Springfield two years ago.

Or a flat car with sledge hammers, chisels and a box of dynamite or black powder depending on the era.
