TV segment in Raleigh on the new Duckunder Terminal Railway

The new Duckunder isn't complete yet.  Still have two more major scenes to do.  It's all compartmentalized so only one scene at a time is visible.

Again, thank you, everyone, for your kind remarks.  The producers did a fine job of editing it down to less than three minutes from at least 80-90 minutes of video they shot during the two hours they visited.

 

I gave them several old photos to use of me as a teen riding trains, and they chose to use the one of me in the cab of a Pennsy GG1 in Penn Station, NYC in 1963.  Here's another of me in Williams, AZ in 1964 holding the Super Chief drumhead while the ATSF switched the train behind me:

George Lasley deserves equal credit.  He has world-class model-crafting skills.  The Roanoke station alone (modeled on the N&W Max Meadows, VA station) has over 1800 individual parts that George built from scratch.

 

Everyone is welcome to visit any time you get to Raleigh.  Just give me a bit of notice because I always seem to be so busy.  And bring your favorite TMCC or Legacy locomotive!
