Upgraded TIU and remote to 4.20.  Took more time to round up parts and setting up than to program devices!  Channel-Lock slip pliers with a rubber band on handle ends makes handy way to keep remote's power button depressed for duration.

However I seem to have hit a snag doing a remote data transfer to PC step.  When I press start, computer immediately finds TIU on com2 again, but then soon gives message that its having hard time finding TIU, so I cancelled out. Double checked connections and cycled TIU and remote power several times, but same message.

Second, I see: Menu->Select-> system-> remote setup-> remote backup-> transfer to PC message, but not sure where to find this after clicking on menu.  I have done a search and only thing located was "system information files".  It would seem logical to me to put this information in same folder as the TIU and remote loader programs (as Barry's book page 145 suggest ) rather than another folder as seemingly implied by the menu->select etc phrase.

What am I missing for this, or is my computer hardware flaky?  Hopefully the software code to talk to TIU is alike for all interfacings and eliminated as problem.

That's MENU on your remote, not your computer.
