Ditto Mike!  I took my mom, sister and wife on Amtrak's Empire Builder out to Glacier.  It was the trip of a lifetime!  I had never traveled cross-country on a train because of the time factor/work commitments.  My mom really wanted to do it (she had never been on a train cross-country either) with us, her children, while she is still in good health at 81 years young!  My mom has been very blessed indeed.

I'm hoping that once again I will be at the Izaak Walton Inn, watching the parade of trains roll by, along with being in the most beautiful area on the planet.  Oh yes, the huckleberry pancakes at the Inn are to die for!  

I do want to spend a few days at the East Glacier Park lodge as well.  I never have but have been in there countless time--beginning Jammer tours, lunch, touring.
