I recently bought off OGR the Lionel 6-11210 vision line challenger 3967. Never run, new in box. I noticed when backing up around an o-72 curve the chuff sounds would cut out. Running in forward direction no problem After checking a few things with no luck , I noticed the tender draw bar was a little lower than engine draw bar so infrared was not lining up perfectly. Easy repair. I took apart the tender truck and draw bar. Than bent up draw bar just enough so infrared lined up perfectly. Put back together. Problem solved. Now when backing up it doesn’t lose chuff sounds.😀 I also noticed the screw for draw bar on tender was stripped. I ordered a new screw and than it tighten right up .
