So I acquired a new TOFC “Carolina” this week!  Man do I love it!  Great addition to B&M pigs I acquired about 8-10 years ago!  Whoever has these molds, you have goldmine on your hands and you don’t even know it!  It’s about time to dust off the molds!  For B&O fan, can you imagine a long trailer jet train (GP30’s elephant style) on a long modular layout??FC83A556-7224-4B63-92D7-AD332E5CCE7D

Yes, they are really nice, the trailers were made in China for Weaver and the flats were made here, boxed here. I had many I upgraded substantially for my endeavors; for out of the box they are terrific. They share the same CAD design with S scale “Showcase Line” and can be found occasionally. I think Lionel bought all the tools for this stuff??????? As for the trailers the tools were in China doubt they made it back here. Research project anyone.

Hey Erik,

It appears Lionel has the molds.  I did very slight research and looked at Lionel’s last two catalogs.  TOFC appear in them.  Flats look identical.  Trailers look more modern.  Would I buy them?  Maybe….  I own only one scale Lionel piece of stock.  I have such an allegiance to Weaver. 🤷🏻‍♂️

regards,

Chris
