Thanks for those videos Jeff.
I grew up in Hillsdale and that wonderful station is where my love of trains blossomed.
You could stand at the station and see the semaphores to the south of the station towards Westwood and just North of the station before the right hand bend.
The Erie Lackawanna ruled the day when I was growing up and I have great memories of meeting some train crews and watching the action.
Mondays were the best. There was a freight local that would take the Hillsdale siding around 4:00 PM. The six or seven rush hour trains would go by and then the freight would reclaim the main and head to Spring Valley.
Thanks again.
Paul
This Post war 2341 set came from the trains my brothers had when they were kids.I only saw it run a couple of times when I was very young. My brother turned the family trains over to me and after 4 hours of cleaning lube ect. The old girl is up and running. I don't think it has turned a wheel in about 40 years.

That is one of the great things about this hobby. I was running my 1872 genneral
at a museum and when I told a guy that the engine was over 50 years old and still running his eyes opened real wide because he could not believe that these toys
ran for so long and so well...
I was really influenced by Liam last week, with his night running. So, here's my effort today. I need more help next time I try to do this. 2 cab-1's, a Cab-2, a ZW handle, and a camera are too much at once!
Trains operating: Williams superliner, Lionel 2-8-2 with Fleet of Modernism, 2 Bowser trolleys, and a Fundimenstions C&NW "400." Note the new Heavy Equipment Dealer!

Found this one the other night.
Apparently 2 chuffs/revolution is prototypical.... when the locomotive is having piston issues.
I guess a piston ring failed on Cumbres and Toltec 487, and they ran her back to the shop in Chama on one cylinder and another locomotive rescued the train.
With summer winding down, the grain rush is well under way:
I just finished a short video of my layout, and I thought I would share it...
Mark.

Thanks Paul! I'm glad you enjoyed the videos! Although I grew up watching trains in Nanuet and Suffern, Hillsdale is where my knowledge of the NJT bloomed. Its great the town lets the train club I belong to rent the upstairs of the station! I always sneak out 5 minutes before the next train is due to go film. I really wish I was around for those days! I don't think I have ever seen a freight north of Teataboro, and unfortunately probably never will... Thanks again Paul!

overview of Bernie's Civil War modules
Hi chessie1971,
A tip you may use is to also paint the card board black and let it dry before installing. Helps to hide the light color. Great idea you came up with. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Dave after i did that video. I thought i should paint it black. So i did that last night
Great theme, civil war. Any special battle?
