A 2016 Christmas Layout memory 
I've used up all of my pictures of the winter section of the 4-seasons layout, so next up is Spring. To "represent" Spring I used an Easter theme. Here's an overall image showing it's location on the layout in the front center area.

One heck of a meet! Heritage unit crosses over the BNSF foreign power as an NS SD50 waits to climb the grade.
Took the 10th Anniversary Polar Express out of the box today to photograph. Its still never been run and I've considered selling it. But its just so darn good looking!

Pair of UP SD40's pull a coal drag.
UP 4004 is a SD40T-2 and 3593 (ex 8084) is a SD40-2 painted in Desert camouflage from 2/91 to 10/91

NS Dash-9 9766 leads a westbound manifest out of Elkhorn tunnel & under the now gone N&W era signals in Maybeury, WV-
NS P01 heads through snow covered Landis, NC with SD70ACe 1120 leading 7 other engines -
Southern FP-7 6133 leads the morning excursion around the grounds of the NCTM at Spencer-
Happy Weekend Everyone. We are finally having fun running trains and smoking up the basement!

I haven't bought Lionel Legacy. And didn't want to devalue it in case I decided to sell it. I'm still on the fence about it. But its quite beautiful.

Atlas SW9 models. Six are custom paints, The older Pennsylvania SW9 (1999) was upgraded to TMCC.

There were quite a few SW models from EMD Electromotive Divison of General Motors. SW1 SW7 and SW9 were very popular with the railroads. Similar to the NW2, most likely more horse power. There were more. Not only could they be used for switching, they easily MU'ed (Multiple Units) for more power, controlled by one engineer and fireman. These Atlas models with TMCC control can be MU'ed. Mouse over image and click on the triangle for a video of an Atlas GP7 and the SW9's as the Pittsburg and Shawmut RR used them.

That first photo brings back memories. I grew up 3 blocks from the B&O Glenwood shop and yards in Pittsburgh until 1960. When the diesels took over, there were all sorts of combinations MU'ed-F7's, Alco FA , FB, Geeps, and not in any particular order. I guess whatever was on hand to pull the needed freight at the time.

The Premier B&O Chessie System Auto Carrier and the Lionel C&O Chessie System two-bay, open-top hopper match up well together, even though they were made in different factories.

Another derelict $2 building restored for our raffle layout.....
So, for $5, I did these 2 buildings for our raffle layout:
It took me about 3 hours total.......and, it was a lot cheaper than 3 hours of therapy would be....

The hopper being a toy non-scale, non-detailed O27 is no match to that nice scale item. I'm surprised you bought that hopper! 
The Chessie System two-bay hopper was only $12. I bought it in October at the Kalamazoo Model Railroad Show before the LionScale Chessie 9-Panel Open-top Hoppers arrived. It matches the other O gauge Chessie System cars.

Very nice, can you tell me a little more regarding the size on your layout
Just picked up this RPO car to make a mixed consist with this combine and a Weaver wagon top box and an appropriate Lionel wagon top bay window.
