Some new scratch built On30 cars this week........
Boy that brings back some memories. Scratched a lot of On30 stuff years ago. This freight shed started out as one of my home brew On30 boxcars....
No body bought me this for my fifth birthday! I wish I had a papa as cool as me.

Love this bridge. It is spectacular.
LOVE this shot! Very nice!
How did you make the viaduct? I've often thought about building this.

Great Pictures this week! Great Custom Work! Keep it coming.
From a recent trip to the Illinois Railway Museum. I find it interesting that no matter how many of us go there and take photos we all find something different to see.
A bit of perspective:
One of the driver wheels of the Santa Fe Northern #2903.
My dad, me and my son on the trolly ride. My #4 nephew is looking out the window on the left.
Got the shutterbug bug and the train bug from my dad.
And then I'll just place these here:
Thanks, Art.....that corner module was decorated by Forum member Kanawah.....his work is fantastic!

Thanks for your interest.

SIRT,
by any chance do you still have photos of the Atlas Signal Tower on your layout? I remember liking the way you shaped the land and the landscape around it.
611 today (8/23/2014) in the Spencer Shop(NCTM) roundhouse.

Day out with Thomas...before the down pour!!
Once again the folks at Illinois Railway Museum have done themselves proud with an amazing event. The staff are very helpful and make sure people are seeing it all!!

Thomas arrived on a flat-bed truck the day we were there. I overheard someone say we could get all the pictures we wanted, but we wouldn't get the see his face. That apparently was for his special day only (and paying customers!).

One question, was this the fired operational Thomas or the non-fired unit?

Forgot all about this train. Enjoyed this identical train, and still have it, somewhere. I hate to admit though, mine predates this 40-year-old set by more than just a few years. It was also my first turntable.
Thanks for rekindling the memories.
I too say thanks - my 2 year old daughter was playing with my set of Child Guidance toy trains yesterday!
Don,
The engine appears to be CB&Q (Burlington) 2-8-2 number 4960 after it was purchased and modified by the Grand Canyon railroad.
RAY
holy jehosaphat, you got the engine but where is it now. Don
My Pan-Am SW-1 switcher fresh out of the paint shop.

Actually, it's not 4960, take a good look at the sand dome. It's Grand Canyon 18, a 2-8-0.
Here she was sitting on a flatcar in Provo, Utah in 2007, which would place her on the Heber Valley railroad, so the photo in question would be Heber City, Utah:
This is ex-CB&Q 4960:

Thank you for the comments. I was asked to build the bridge and the bridge is installed in a layout in NE Pennsylvania. The problem in replicating this bridge for a layout, the real bridge is huge!
The bridge has had a dramatic effect to the layout. Including major changes to the scenery plan and even the colors and placement of some buildings.
This picture might make you queasy.
Thanks to Scott for always starting WPF!

You must have one lucky customer. This is one of the nicest bridges I have ever seen in O-Gauge. What are the dimensions?
Thanks Joey. I found them on E-Bay. They are actually HO decals but with this size engine it worked out pretty good. Depending on what your doing you can get away with HO decals If O scale are not available.
