I am hoping to get some feedback from the forum members here in what do you do to obtain the printed catalogs from MTH? I know I can go online and I often do but to me there is still something about having the printed catalog. Several vendors/shops that I buy from send me all the Lionel catalogs and sometimes more than one of the same so I share those, but the MTH ones seem to be made of unobtainium.

I would like to know what everyone does to receive them...maybe it is because I am on the West Coast? Thanks all!

I am on the mth subscription for 5 years-still have not received my catalog from oct-getting disappointed with mth-sems mike is putting us o scale buyers on the back burner-our lhs in Daytona who was one of the first stores to carry mth called mike 3-5

times

to see if he come down for a day as there are a lot pf mth fans here-mike never called tony back ever-the lhs even offered to pay for him to come down-mike has a short memory who made him

Thanks so far for the responses. As far as going to my local LHS there is no one that carries MTH that is not at least an hour plus away from me and they charge for everything even to reset an engine to factory default if you want to use a remote commander. That charge was one reason I bought a DCS system and it was not from them since I found a used one that works fine. They do not hand out catalogs even when you do buy from them and I have but they still want to charge for the catalog. That is one reason I posted to see what everyone else does. Thank you.

Generally, I say "save a tree" and just look online. When I place an order, Charlie Ro eventually sends me one. Since I'm only interested in a couple of pages, catalogs don't excite me the way they did when I was younger. My bookshelves are full of catalogs that I don't look at anymore. With so many manufacturers producing so much stuff, it's not like the old days when the Lionel catalog was the only thing going.

MTH sends me one, but sometimes my LHS has it faster, if I have hopes there is something in there I might want.  I usually pick it up at York to save MTH the

postage and a tree (duplicate catalogs, otherwise).  I find paging through it on the

net a nuisance.  I just got a call an MTH car came in.  I think it was out of a 2012

catalog.  Nothing in the 2013's, that I remember wanting, which is my biggest problem with any of them.

When I buy a MTH train from the LHS I ask for one. Jim was always good at giving. There was only one LHS that would not give me a free one. He wanted $5.00. At the time I was buying a MTH Premier and non power unit plus some rolling stock. I didn't get the free catalog and he didn't get the sale. Needless to say this place is now out of business over in Altoona.

I just figure if I am spending $500 the catalog should be free.
