What engines and Passenger Cars would you like for 3rd Rail / Golden Gate Depot to produce or rerun in the future.
(No steam, Scott said that 3rd Rail will not be producing any brass steam locomotives after the NYC H-10s & C&O / Virginian H-8 Alleghenys are finished and sent out.)

I know many would like to see a rerun of the NYC Mercury Cars. Lionel has made the engines but the only cars accurate for this train are rare and now cost their weight in gold.

Why do you keep pursuing this? Do you have a layout capable of operating these "high end" SCALE models? What specific railroads are you attempting to model, and in what era? You have already posted similar questions over on the HONGZ Forum about modeling railroads in HO Scale. So,,,,just what are your motives?

EMD passenger F9’s for my GGD North Coast Limited set. I’d probably buy NP freight F9’s, too.
Regarding GGD passenger equipment, I would like to see a correct 1951 GN Empire Builder consist. Also, the NP 8-6-3-1 sleepers to complete the NCL set.

Malcolm a/k/a Brother Love was turning out a number of cabooses not too long ago. I believe the Virginia and N&W wood cabooses were among those he made. Perhaps we could convince him to jump back into the game. I would imagine there is a fair amount of pent up demand for correct models of cabooses for other roads as well.
There are a number of locomotives made by the two companies for which neither Lionel nor 3rd Rail has made cabooses and passenger cars. That might work 
. NYC or New Haven please.

For 3rd Rail, they are currently showing the ALCO FA-1 A and B coming up soon, but do not list the FA-1 in PRR colors. Granted, the Pennsy only had 4 FA-1 ABBA sets, but still it seems like they should do the Pennsy FA-1 in as delivered colors.
They did the PRR EMD F3 Phase 2 Late with the correct bullet number boards. How about a F3 Phase 3 or Phase 4 with the correct bullet number boards. Or even a F7 Phase 1a with the bullet numbers boards before it went to the large number boards.
A FM H20-44 road switcher would be nice. The PRR, NYC, and UP as well as others had this engine.
A Baldwin VO-660/DS 4-4-660 switcher. These were used by a whole bunch of railroads.
For GGD, I would like to see some head end or express cars. Specifically REA pre-big red diamond (pre-1954). Troop sleepers would be great since a lot of current models have zinc pest or other issues. No billboard reefers. Or maybe a crew express cabin car (rider car) used by some roads.

Now, if they really want my money they need to make steam: Either a N2sa (Standard USRA 2-10-2 for non-Pennsy folks and modified to PRR), a B8a 0-6-0T tank engine, or K2sa/K3 4-6-2 just because they look neat.

Considering that Sunset/3rd Rail has to price the new Allegheny at $4799.95, I'm not surprised that they are going to stop producing models of steam locomotives.

I've got two of his wooden Virginian C-1 cabooses and they're gorgeous. Looking for matching steel C-10s done right -- not the cheesy generic MTH version. He did mention he might consider doing them in the future.

This is a high end collector's model I believe. They are taking it to the next level. I would suggest looking at the price of the H10 instead, around half as much.
Would love to see Stillwell Coaches They have been done in HO by Northwest shortlines and Funaro and Camerlengo, The early stillwell coaches had arches over the windows with a unique roof and were very sharp My picture at the NY Railroad museum
They were modernized later on Dont have any pic of that They were used on the Erie Railroad The New York Westchester & Boston had a fleet of Stillwells that had pantographs used in their commuter service, the Susquehanna used them as well as the PATH. Southern pacific and Rock island had Stillwells as well as the Chicago and Eastern Indiana

Rerun brass Big Dome cars (ATSF or BNSF modern era business car)
Stillwell cars is a great idea! Those cars were used on the Cleveland, OH to Youngstown, OH train with intermediate stops. In later years the Cleveland train got streamlined ex Phoebe Snow cars. I found pics some years ago online of the cars languishing in Warren, OH after they were displaced by the streamlined cars. I cannot share the pics I took screenshots of due the copyright issue.
Lets not get testy. All it is is a wish list of what we would like.
Oh, boy...no more steam (certainly justified at 5 grand, nearly), from 3R? Assorted gas electrics ("doodlebugs") were widely used, but probably demand almost as much development investment as a small steamer. 3R did do two versions of a railline specific gas electric. Hope those were financially successful. Even the cabooses l want are from lesser recognized roads. Times are tough all over.
Wish lists are what they are.....wishes....like if pigs had wings. Improbable future indeed.
Harsh reality is that it takes a critical mass number to get anything made and unless what you want falls into what a herd wants, it's going to happen.
But, watch out for those pigs on a wing, 
I would purchase at least two New Haven Stillwell passenger cars and also two New York, Westchester & Boston cars. The NYW&B cars would have to be powered but the coaches would not. I'm sure they would not be inexpensive...

Great Northern NW3 and/or NW5 road switcher diesels. Also Duluth, South Shore & Atlantic Baldwin Center Cab and/or Alco RS2 diesel locomotives.
As noted, Sunset 3rd Rail is receding from/done with steam model production. We now have, for all practical purposes, no O Gauge producer of scale model steam locomotives. We had a nice 50 year run, but it is done.
Cabooses in general, but I’d really like a classic bobber caboose along the same lines of the former MTH/current Lionel version, but with a finished interior and finer detail.
I know I've already put my vote for these many times, and that has yet to change:
Aside from a handful of choices that 3rd Rail has already made, I'm not too bummed out about the 'no-new-steam' policy. I can definitely understand it, too.
