Every week is shark week here. Meet our friendly mako who is probably hungry. Visitors to the layout are hesitant to reach into his mouth and for good reason.
Teeth move forward, fall out, and are replaced. When feeding, the jaw hinges down. Yeah, this one can eat you. 8’ 4”, 526#, Virginia state record when caught. First jump was straight up about 20 feet, the beginning of an impressive 30 minute non-stop show.
