I just bought the 2 car passenger set "North pole Central" and when I put power to the track the lights in both cars blink 
I know one of the add on cars for Hogwarts does and it might make sense for the 2 car Halloween cars to blink but the Christmas cars? Anyone have these and do yours blink?

Well you may want to check the bulbs cause....
when one light goes out,
they ALL go out!

There was another post a week or two ago where the poster received a set of these coaches that had the 'flashing lights'. It would seem that some of these coaches have been shipped with the hogwarts flasher circuit included. You may wish to search for the post for details, but if I recall correctly, he just disconnected the circuit.

I found the link to the post I was thinking of. Have fun. 
Yes, that was me three weeks ago. i removed the printed circuit boards from both cars and wired the lights directly. Lights are constant and bright. Nice cars on a christmas layout.
I guess in the case of these cars if Lionel documents this glitch, they can call it a feature.
I just did the same thing to mine. Much better! 
At least you got a free flashing circuit if it is easily removed.
